2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

A candidate for the post of the United Nations Secretary-General, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Susana Malcorra today (7 June) shared her vision of “a United Nations which job centres on putting people first, caring for the planet, and of shared prosperity, guided by issues and focused on generating an impact.”

Ensuring adequate, nutritious and safe food for a growing population is a complex task – one where food, livelihoods and management of natural resources can no longer be handled separately. Bearing in mind specific regional challenges, the countries of Europe and Central Asia appear determined to get it right.
